PICCADILLY STATION TO THE SHERIDAN SUITE
By bus

GET THERE FOR £1 – Special concessionary fare of £1 available on First Bus services – ask the driver. First Bus service details.

Follow the signs for the Shuttle Bus and leave the station via the Piccadilly Approach beside the ticket office at concourse level (ie don’t go down any stairs). Walk down the station approach and keep going straight on into Piccadilly Gardens. Half way along Piccadilly Gardens you will pass Oldham Street on your right (approx 100m).

Turn into Oldham Street and most busses departing from the first two bus stops pass the Sheridan. Ask the driver for the stop before the Queens Road/Hulme Hall Lane junction. It is about a 5 minutes ride.

Walking

Easiest route to find/follow is to leave via Piccadilly Approach. Follow the main road forward until Piccadilly Gardens are reached. Keep straight on down the side of Piccadilly Gardens until Oldham Street is reached (approx 100m). Turn right into Oldham Street and keep on until the end of the street. Opposite you will see the Crown and Kettle public house. Cross the road and proceed to the left of the Crown and Kettle along Oldham Road. The venue is then 1.1 miles along on the left just before a major road junction.

If you pass under a (railway) bridge you have gone 100m too far!

By Metro

Unfortunately the Metro is only of limited use but can be used to get to Market Street from where walking/the bus are both options.

Follow the signs in Piccadilly Station to the Metro platforms and board a BURY bound tram. Get off at the second stop, Market Street. Having got off turn back, in the direction the tram has just come, into Piccadilly Gardens. Half way along on the left of Piccadilly Gardens (approx 100m) turn left into Oldham Street. Follow the directions for Bus or Walking above.

Most rail tickets from further a field will read “Manchester Stations”. This ticket is valid on the Metro system within Manchester City Centre (Piccadilly – Victoria – G-Mex).

OXFORD ROAD STATION TO THE SHERIDEN SUITE

A shuttle bus is available, but probably better to catch train (frequent) to Piccadilly Station and follow instructions above.

VICTORIA STATIONS (Rail & Metro) TO THE SHERIDEN SUITE

Leave the station and walk towards the city centre. You will soon reach Corporation Street (main thoroughfare with various Co-Operative Society office blocks facing you). Turn left for 100m and pass New Century Hall. Turn right into Miller Street. Continue up the hill and keep straight forwards along Swan Street until you see the Crown and Kettle on your left opposite the end of Oldham Street. Cross the road and proceed to the left of the Crown and Kettle along Oldham Road. The venue is then 1.1 miles along on the left just before a major road junction.
