Meet CAMRA Young Members!
CAMRA’s Young Members Group (YMG) exists to campaign on issues affecting young CAMRA members and encourage the drinking of Real Ale among young people who may not be CAMRA members. Every young member of CAMRA (aged 18-30) is automatically a member of the YMG, which currently comprises around 11% of the total national membership.
The National Young Members Committee is running a working social here at NWAF for young members to get to know each other, and to offer an opportunity for all to meet some of the National Committee and ask questions about CAMRA and the Group. This will start at about 2pm on Saturday 21st January at the Membership stand, from where we will help to serve behind the bars.
If you are a CAMRA member aged 18-30 and want to join in, please talk to the staffing desk who will be happy to assist. The working social on Saturday will last from 2pm until about 5:30pm.
If you would like to talk to us while the event is happening, then look out for us on one of the bars, where we’ll all be wearing Young Members polo shirts (many thanks to York Brewery for their sponsorship), or ask at the CAMRA Membership stand.
Following the working social we will be heading out to take in some of the pubs of Manchester. All are welcome to join us, whether or not you are under 30!
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday afternoon!
